Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport gained an Unfair Advantage with Pure Storage All-Flash technology. To celebrate and raise awareness of their latest technology, something special was planned.

As part of the ‘Unfair Advantage’ campaign, Pure Storage invited a select number of clients on a trip to the Monaco F1 Grand Prix. The challenge was to come up with a creative invitation that would be attention grabbing and excite the audience for their upcoming trip.
Creative response
An invitation to the Monaco Grand Prix isn’t your usual direct mail request, so the answer needed to be creative. The actual invitation was delivered in a video message from Vice Chair and President Emeritus at Pure Storage, David Hatfield. The opulence of the Monaco trip really needed to show through this invite, so it was decided that the invitees would receive a luxury gift box with high quality Pure branded travel essentials that would be useful on their journey. In addition to the Video DM, the guests received a leather luggage tag in Pure orange, a travel charger and adapter, a Pure notebook with matching Parker pen in orange, and to add some charm to the gifts, a metal USB stick in the shape of an F1 car.
A separate gift bag was also designed for when the guests arrived in Monaco, containing champagne and an agenda for their trip.
